First up on court will be former Australian Open Dominika Cibulkova, who features in her semi-final against American counterpart Christina McHale.

Cibulkova started off with a double-bagelling of Lourdes Domingo Lino in her first round match before Victoria Azarenka retired from their second round encounter. She then required three sets to overcome Johanna Larsson to set up this semi-final against McHale.

McHale has had three successive three-set wins and that means she could come in a tad exhausted. There have been wins over Heather Watson, Danka Kovinic and Marina Lucic-Baroni, but she now faces a sterner test in the in-form Slovakian.

The fifth seeded Tomic will then start off a favourite against Alexandr Dolgopolov, in what will be their 10th meeting. However, what Tomic will need to be a tad wary about is his previous record against his opponent, having lost six of their previous nine matches.

Dolgopolov had beaten Tomic in their last meeting too, winning in straight sets at the Cincinnati Masters last year.

The second seeded stephens will be up against the eighth seeded Yanina Wickmayer, in another semi-final. The two have met just once before this with Stephens having crushed Wickmayer at the Miami Masters last year.

And in the final singles match of the day, the fourth seeded Dominic Thiem will hope to make it to the final when he plays Sam Querrey. This will be their first meeting.

Thiem has already surprised Grigor Dimitrov in the previous match while Querrey shocked Kei Nishikori in the second round.
