With the second round getting underway today the Rogers Cup is starting to get exciting. A number of the biggest names in world tennis are scheduled to make a start to their campaigns today, and all of the matches played on the Central Court will be available for free live streaming courtesy of bet365 (click on the link above for more information).
The first match on Central Court will see Shuai Peng against former world No. 15 Aravane Rezai. Rezai has been in a slump for the past two years, but is more of a threat than her ranking suggests.
This contest will be followed by Shahar Peer versus Eugenie Bouchard. Bouchard could be a surprise package here. She has the support of the home crowd, and should be full of confidence after winning the junior Wimbledon title.
The next two ties will draw a huge crowd. Petra Kvitova will be in action against Kazakhstan’s Ksenia Pervak. The former Wimbledon champ could feature as a serious contender at the US Open, so it will be worth keeping an eye on her hard court performances.
Once this contest is wrapped up, reigning US Open champion Sam Stosur will take on Simona Halep. Halep is known to be a tricky opponent, but the Aussie has had the measure of her in past meetings.
