Victoria Azarenka leads a star-studded field over the next fortnight for the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, one of the biggest tournaments in the world.
Azarenka has made a phenomenal start to 2012, winning the Australian Open and Premier titles in Sydney and Doha. The world number one has yet to lose a match this season and if she triumphs in the Californian desert, many will be wondering if she can pull off a season reminiscent of Novak Djokovic last year.
However Azarenka has only once made the semi-finals in Indian Wells in the past and there are plenty of other big names to watch out for. Caroline Wozniacki is the defending champion and despite indifferent results so far this year, she'll be determined to show she's still a force. Maria Sharapova played brilliantly in Melbourne and she won this title back in 2006.
Everyone was talking about Petra Kvitova at the start of the year and although the Wimbledon champion has been eclipsed by Azarenka so far, the Wimbledon champion should find the cool, fast conditions to her liking.
And Agnieszka Radwanska has been playing herself into some sensational form over the past month. She won the Dubai Premier title and after publically laying into Azarenka twice this season, accusing her of "bad sportsmanship", any meeting between the two will be an enticing prospect.
