As far as sporting events go, there are few on the same level as the Wimbledon final. On Saturday, we’ll be treated to a fascinating final match up at the All-England Club between four-time winner Serena Williams, and first-time finalist Agnieszka Radwanska.
Williams blasted her way into the final with a huge ace that wrapped up a 6-3, 7-6(6) victory over world No. 2 Victoria Azarenka. The American has saved her best tennis for week two, and now seems ready to add to her already sizeable collection of slam titles.
Radwanska, on the other hand, held her nerve on a long rally against Angelique Kerber for a 6-3, 6-4 success. She opted for a fairly muted celebration when the German put a looped groundstroke into the ad-court tramline.
We can anticipate plenty of emotion on Saturday though, as the title will be on the line. Serena will be the favourite, but the world No. 3 has the weapons to cause problems.
