Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond will be favourite to claim the Wimbledon mixed doubles title when they take on fourth seeds Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina.
Bryan and Raymond will be competing for the United States at the London Olympic later this month and they eased through their semi-final in quickfire fashion, seeing off Nenad Zimonjic and Katerina Srebotnik 6-3, 6-4.
However Mike's twin brother Bob did not far so well. Top seeds Bob Bryan and Liezel Huber were surprisingly ousted 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 late on Saturday by the determined combination of Paes and Vesnina.
It's been a fine year in mixed doubles for the Indian/Russian pairing who also made the final of the Australian Open and the semis of the French Open. Paes may be coming to the end of his long and illustrious career but he still remains capable of claiming silverware at the very highest level and in January he completed the career Grand Slam of men's doubles titles.
However Bryan and Raymond have looked a class apart from the rest of the field so far this week and the second seeds are yet to even drop a set. It will be a massive surprise if these two veterans don't claim another Wimbledon title.
