The WTA Fes Open will begin on Monday, marking another week of clay court tennis in the run up to the French Open.
Aravane Rezai enters this competition as the number one seed, but will have to improve on her recent form in order to claim the title here. This could be an important week for Rezai, given that she’s not managed to string together a decent run of results all season.
Yaroslava Shvedova is the No. 2 seed, and could be a threat here in Morocco. Even so, she’s been plagued by a knee injury this season, and might struggle to live up to her billing. Lourdes Dominguez Lino is in at No. 3, and should be feeling good ahead of this competition following Spain’s Fed Cup victory over France.
Other main contenders here include Greta Arn, Angelique Kerber, Jelena Dokic, Simona Halep and Alize Cornet. These players are the fourth, fifth, six, seventh and eighth seeds respectively. Out of this group, Jelena Dokic is perhaps the one to watch. The Croat won WTA Kuala Lumpur last month, and has the ability to go the distance here as well. You can watch & bet on the action from the WTA Fes Open at bet365 > tennis > live streaming
