Kevin Anderson is next up for Novak Djokovic as the Serbian looks to continue his rampage on the ATP Tour.
Novak Djokovic remains undefeated in 2011 and he is into the quarterfinals of the 2011 Miami Masters where he will face South Africa's Kevin Anderson.
Anderson is a dangerous player on tour and, like Djokovic, the South African is playing the best tennis of his career right now. Anderson won his maiden title on the hard courts of Johannesburg earlier this year and at 6'8" he presents unique challenges to his opponents.
However Anderson is currently ranked just 40th in the world still, although that is about to go up, and he rarely holds his own against players in the top 20.
Anderson did defeat Djokovic in their only head to head meeting from the past and perhaps the South African will ground some confidence in that fact, especially since it was at the Miami Masters (2008).
But Djokovic's confidence appears to be unbreakable at this point and truthfully Anderson might do well to make it to a tiebreaker against Djokovic as the Serbian has cut-down much more talented players in the last few months.
Anderson and Djokovic are set to meet in Wednesday's late match from the Miami Masters with these details offered by from the Order of Play:
