British Grand Slam hopeful Heather Watson is just one match away from claiming French Open glory after reaching the final of the girls' doubles at Roland Garros.
The 17-year-old Watson and Hungarian partner Timea Babos, seeded third in the tournament came through a lengthy three-set clash with Ksenia Kirillova and Martina Trevisan 6-2 5-7 10-8.
Three breaks from Watson and Babos were comfortably enough for them to win the first set however their Italian and Russian opponents did manage to pull off breaking them once.
The second set proved to be a much tighter affair with Kirillova and Trevisan clearly stepping up their game. The 47-minute second set, saw Kirillova and Trevisan break serve on four occasions to Watson and Babos three breaks seeing them level the scores.
The last set was a good demonstration of the heart from Watson and Babos, they dug deep, winning the tie-break 10-8 to book a final clash with second seeds Elena Bogdan and Noppawan Lertcheewakarn in the French Open doubles final.
