Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond take on the Russian duo of Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova in the women's doubles bronze medal playoff.

There's so much at stake emotionally for both of these pairs. Kirilenko just missed out on an unexpected bronze medal in the singles, losing to both Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka in straight sets and she'll be desperate not to leave empty-handed. They always say that fourth is the worst place to finish at the Olympics.
An Olympic medal has been Raymond's dream throughout her long and illustrious career (she turns 39 later this month) and she's won everything else apart from that. She was not selected for both the Sydney and Beijing Olympic teams in controversial circumstances and given that she's not sure whether to continue on to the Rio 2016 Games, this could be last chance saloon.
Raymond and Huber battled their way to the semi-finals but they were outplayed by the Czechs Lucie Hradecka and Andrea Hlavackova in straight sets on Friday. The Czech pairing made the Wimbledon final last month and they've showed why all week long. While Raymond and Huber have plenty of guile, the Czechs play a very modern doubles game, possessing frightening power both on serve and off the ground.
Prediction: Kirilenko and Petrova in three.
