The 2012 Hyundai Hopman Cup features a whole host of leading stars representing their countries in this unique team competition.
A legacy of the great Harry Hopman, this annual mixed team event sees some of the world's best players come together to represent their countries. It features eight teams, divided up into two group of four with the group winners contesting the final at the end of the week.
The Czech Republic have emerged as a huge force in women's tennis over the past year led by Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova and they're the overwhelming favourites for the title with Tomas Berdych also turning out for his country.
France are seeded second with world number nine Marion Bartoli and the enigmatic Richard Gasquet. If world number eight Mardy Fish can hit form, then the USA may stand a fighting chance especially as the much-improved Bethanie Mattek-Sands is a superb doubles player.
World number one Caroline Wozniacki will be in action for Denmark but with Freddy Nielsen ranked down at 236 in the world and spending most of his time on the challenger and futures circuits, it'll be tough for them to get results. The same goes for China who have French Open champion Li Na but Wu Di is only ranked 422 on the men's circuit.
And finally, the Aussie team always receive a huge amount of support in Perth and 30 year old Lleyton Hewitt will be hoping he can produce something special on his 7th Hopman Cup appearance. Jarmila Gajdosova is extremely dangerous on her day so they're definitely capable of ruffling a few feathers in Group B.
