Martin Klizan takes on Italy's Simone Bolelli in the final of the San Marino Challenger, Klizan's last tournament of the year on clay.
Klizan is the top seed this week and as this is his last event of the year on the red dirt, he's been very keen to finish with a title to give him some confidence (and points) heading into the ATP event on hard courts over the next few months,
He's been the class act in the field, reaching the final without dropping a set. He totally outplayed Filippo Volandri 6-3, 6-2 in the semis, an impressive result against the third seed who made an ATP final in Sao Paulo earlier this year.
He'll also be the fresher of the two todays. Bolelli was made to toil in the intense heat for over three hours before seeing off Albert Montanes 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5. However the Italian did look fairly fresh at the end so fitness shouldn't be an issue today.
At his best, Bolelli has the ability to outhit Klizan but he won't be able to keep that going for the full match as the Slovak is so consistent. They played in Kitzbuhel last month and Bolelli hit him off the court for a set and a half before going off the boil and Klizan ran out a 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 winner.
Prediction: Klizan in three.
