Martin Klizan entered this week’s ATP Prague Challenger as the sixth seed, and following a successful week finds himself in the final. The Slovakian didn’t drop a set all week prior to the semi-finals, in which he dismissed Slovenian outsider Aljaz Bedene 5-7, 6-3, 6-2. Klizan’s next opponent will be Argentina’s Horacio Zeballos.
Zeballos may be unseeded here, but he’s only 17 places below Klizan in the official ATP rankings, and has far more experience than the 22-year-old at the top level. Zeballos has achieved some big wins here, over the likes of top seed Dudi Sela, seventh seed Matthias Bachinger and fourth seed Tobias Kamke.
This looks like a contest that could easily go either way. Zeballos has met several of the best players in the draw and pulled through, whilst Klizan hasn’t once come close to losing. Both players should be confident, and this could develop into a very interesting final.
