Friday's action at the Toronto Masters sees Novak Djokovic, Janko Tipsarevic and Tomas Berdych hoping that the rain will hold off and let them get their third round matches underway.
It's going to be a busy day for the third round victors as they'll have to return to court a few hours later to play their quarter-final matches.
Top seed Djokovic will be hoping to have booked a semi-final spot by the end of the day but he's got a tough opener against the in-form Sam Querrey who has been rocketing up the rankings recently. Querrey currently tops the US Open Series standings but he'll have to go deep this week to maintain that and he's up against it as he's never beaten a top three player before.
He'll then play either Tommy Haas or Radek Stepanek. Haas has played a lot of matches recently and the 34 year old will be glad of the day's rest after two victories over David Nalbandian and Gilles Simon. He'll be slight favourite against Stepanek who impressed with a straight sets win over Juan Martin Del Potro on Wednesday.
Berdych should have the edge over Richard Gasquet on hard courts and if he wins he'll play either Mardy Fish or the newest member of the top ten Juan Monaco. Monaco handed out a heavy beating to Fish at the Miami Masters and he'll be looking to repeat that.
And Tipsarevic takes on the equally in-form Marin Cilic who has won two ATP titles over the past two months. The winner of that one will be strong favourite against either Marcel Granollers or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's conqueror Jeremy Chardy.
