Janko Tipsarevic is in action in Sunday's ATP Gstaad 2012 final against former champion Thomaz Bellucci.
Bellucci will be looking to avenge last week's 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 loss to Tipsarevic in the Stuttgart semi-finals. The Brazilian is seeking his second Gstaad title after triumphing here as a qualifier back in 2009.
It's been an extremely good week for him and he's been largely untroubled through the rounds, comfortably defeating fifth seed Feliciano Lopez 6-3, 6-3 in the quarters before beating Grigor Dimitorv 7-6(3), 7-6(5) in a tight semi-final to prolong the young Bulgarian's wait for a first ATP final.
It's Bellucci's first tour final since he won ATP Santiago back in early 2010, beating Juan Monaco in the final. Back then he was hailed as a future Gustavo Kuerten and he's lived up to that promise in some sense since, cracking the world's top 30 and scoring wins over the likes of Andy Murray on clay but he's struggled for consistency over the past year, slipping out of the top 50.
However Tipsarevic will be a tough proposition. The Serb is playing with a huge amount of confidence right now after winning the Stuttgart title last week and compared to his arduous progress through the draw at the Mercedes Cup, he's eased through the rounds in Gstaad this week, not dropping a set so far.
Prediction: Tipsarevic in two.
