The men’s semi-finals and the women’s final will be played on Friday at the Apia International Sydney 2013.
The first singles match of the day will be played at the Ken Rosewall Arena where two unseeded players Frenchman Julien Benneteau and South Africa’s Kevin Anderson go head to head.
Benneteau defeated American qualifier Ryan Harrison, who had ousted the top seeded John Isner in the previous round while Anderson defeated Denis Istomin in straight sets.
Following this, the second men’s singles semi-final will have Bernard Tomic taking on third seeded Andreas Seppi.
Tomic dropped the opening set of his quarter-final against defending champion Jarrko Nieminen before rallying to win that quarter-final 6-7, 6-4, 6-2. Seppi took out the eighth seeded Marcel Granollers of Spain in straight sets, winning 6-4, 7-5 to set up a clash with Tomic.
The evening session of play at the Apia International in Sydney sees top seeded Radwanska playing Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia in the women’s final. Radwanska brushed aside fourth seeded Li Na in her semi-final to take her season record to 8-0 while Cibulkova surprised second seeded Angelique Kerber in three sets.
