Continuing his run of form from the clay courts Robin Soderling will hope to ease past his first Wimbledon 2010 opponent Robby Ginepri. However the American "Come Back Kid" could prove a tough test.
Soderling and Ginepri's meeting at Wimbledon on Tuesday will mark the third career clash between the two players. Soderling winning their first encounter with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory on the clay courts of Hamburg in 2007.
However Soderling v Ginepri could provide an upset similar to the result at Chennai earlier this season where Ginepri defeated Soderling in the first round of the tournament with a fairly straightforward 6-4, 7-5 score.
Ginepri will be no easy opponent for the hard-hitting Soderling, the 72nd-ranked American recently enjoyed a fourth-round run at the French Open. Despite good showings in the clay court tournaments Ginepri's game may suffer on the fast grass courts of Wimbledon, and Soderling looks the deserved favourite for progression to Wimbledon's second round.
Soderling, who will be eager to establish his reinvented serve, faces Ginepri in the final match on Centre Court today.
