After an exciting first three rounds, the 2012 Brussels Open is close to its conclusion. The semi-finals of the French Open tune-up event will take place on Friday, and it looks like we’re in for a pair of very exciting matches.

In the first semi-final, Agnieszka Radwanska will take on Kaia Kanepi. Kanepi has looked sharp this year, and her powerful groundstrokes have caused many players a lot of trouble. She’ll need to be on song against Radwanska though. The Pole is enjoying a terrific run of form, and a title success this week will take her to No. 2 in the world rankings.

In the other semi-final we’ll see a meeting between Romania’s Simona Halep and Sweden’s Sofia Arvidsson. It’s hard to pick a winner for this clash, as the pairing appear to be fairly evenly matched.
