Daniela Hantuchova and Kaia Kanepi will take to the court on Saturday in the final of the WTA Brisbane OpenYou can watch and bet on Hantuchova v Kanepi live for free at bet365 > live tennisDaniela Hantuchova currently holds a 3-0 head to head record against Kaia Kanepi, but going into the final of the WTA Brisbane Open, you could be forgiven for thinking that Kanepi has a big chance to win the title.
Hantuchova has played fairly well this week, but she’s not exactly been in championship winning form. She received a walkover victory in the quarter-finals against Serena Williams, and had been a set down in the final four against Kim Clijsters before the Belgian was forced to retire due to an injury to her left hip.
Kanepi on the other hand has been making a habit of giant killing. She ousted Andrea Petkovic in the quarter’s, and then went on to thrash Francesca Schiavone 6-3, 6-0 in less than an hour. Whilst Petkovic has struggling with a back injury, and Schiavone had entered the semi-finals off of the back of a quarter-final that had lasted almost three hours, Kanepi managed to do enough to suggest that she can lift the title here in Brisbane.
Expect a close-run final on Saturday. Both competitors will fancy their chances here, and a win here would mark the perfect start to the season for either player.
