Britain's Anne Keothavong takes on Dominika Cibulkova in the opening round of the Pattaya Open on Tuesday.
This is a tough one for Keothavong who was ranked in the top 50 a few years ago before a knee injury derailed her career. Cibulkova is the second seed and ranked 16 in the world.
However it hasn't been a happy start to the year for the tenacious Slovak. She lost first round in Brisbane to Daniela Hantuchova, lost in the second round of Sydney to Caroline Wozniacki before making a surprise second round exit at the Australian Open, losing a marathon clash with Hungary's Greta Arn 10-8 in the final set.
As you can see, most of these losses have been against top class opponents and Cibulkova received a nice boost at the weekend, helping her country into the quarter-finals of Fed Cup World Group II.
Keothavong has also enjoyed an excellent week of Fed Cup action, winning three of her four matches to help Great Britain into the Fed Cup World Group II playoffs for the first time in many, many years.
Keothavong will have enjoyed a huge confidence boost from that so don't be surprised if she takes this one to three sets but look for Cibulkova to ultimately prevail.
