Wimbledon is the greatest tennis tournament in the world and to celebrate this year’s event PokerStars is offering you the chance to play battleship poker against one of the sport’s true champions – Boris Becker. Have you got what it takes to beat Boris heads-up and claim £5,000 in prize money?

One of the greatest players ever to play the game, Boris was the youngest ever Wimbledon men’s singles champion at the age of 17, before forging a glittering career that included six Grand Slam tournament wins. Now poker is his new game. His career at the felt is already off to a good start, with a final table appearance in a tournament at the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo, and a cash finish at a big money event in Las Vegas.

Win your way through to one of the Weekly Finals and you will be playing for a shot at Boris, as well as two tickets to the first day’s play of this year’s Wimbledon Championships. You could be sitting down opposite Boris Becker, playing heads-up battleship poker for £5,000, and then the following day take your seat at the world’s most famous tennis event. There are big cash prizes too, with tournament prize pools available every step of the way.

How to Qualify
PokerStars is running three weeks of qualifying tournaments, from now to June 15. Satellites take place every day, with a range of buy-ins, as shown in the table below. You can you win seats to the three Weekly Finals, and the cash satellites will pay out the top 20% of finishers. You can find the tournaments in the PokerStars lobby by selecting ‘Tourney’ and ‘Regional’, or by typing ‘Becker Battleship’ in the Tourney Filter.

Qualify for a Becker Battleship Weekly Final and you will be playing for a seat at a heads-up battleship match against Boris Becker. You can also win cash, with a prize pool of $2,000 up for grabs at each Weekly Final. The three finals take place June 2, 9 and 16 at 14:30 ET (19:30 UK Time).

Finish in first place at a Weekly Final and you will win two tickets to the first day of Wimbledon on June 22, as well as your seat in the battleship match to be held in London on June 21. Beat Boris and you will win £5,000 and the satisfaction of taking down a legend. And if Boris beats you, don’t worry, there is a £1,000 consolation prize for second place.
