Wimbledon serves will start flying on Monday June 22nd.  There is still plenty of time to get your bets in for who you think is going to win. 

Of the 128 players in the women's draw our recommendation is that you stick to one of these four players as they are the top picks leading up to Wimbledon. 

1.  Serena Williams

At present the best odds for Serena, the two seed, can be found at Sportingbet where she is a 3/1 favorite. She is on better form than her sister Venus Williams of late and is the holder of two current Grand Slam titles from the past year.  She has also won Wimbledon on two occasions and has been the Runner Up on two other occasions.

2. Venus Williams

Venus Williams is the favorite with a lot of Sportsbooks because of her history of success at Wimbledon.  She's won the tournament five times and she has finished second on two other occasions.  A great deal of pressure is currently on Williams to deliver a premium result in this tournament and her best price is at Paddy Power at 7/2.

Venus needs to be watched carefully in the first two rounds before making a commitment.  Should she drop a high percentage of points to weak competition, forget about picking her.

3. Victoria Azarenka

There are a host of sites that are offering good odds on Azarenka.  For example, bet365 have her at 12/1 to win Wimbledon.  The 8 seed is better than her odds suggest as she has improved her game significantly in the last year.  She was probably the third best player at the French and took a set off of world number one Safina before falling in the quarters.

4.  Dinara Safina

Safina is the number one seed in the women's draw but she is yet to take down a slam despite knocking on the door in a Grand Slam final three times. Being the number one seed should afford her some easy matches and she is probably worth the 20/1 odds being offered at Sportingbet.
