The Wimbledon qualifying tournament will be held at the Bank of England Sports Ground at Roehampton between June 13th and June 17th.
The Wimbledon qualifying tournament will start in less than a week as the players not ranked high enough to get into the main draw automatically will have to make it in the hard way.
While there is rarely a threat to make the Wimbledon semifinals in the qualifying tournaments the 2011 French Open did see a qualifier, Alejandro Falla, make it to the fourth round. Previous qualifiers at Wimbledon who have done a lot of damage in the main draw of the same year's event include John McEnroe (semifinals 1977) and Vladimir Voltchkov (semifinals 2000).
The 2011 qualifying competition for Wimbledon will be held between June 13th and June 17th, not at the All England Club itself, but at the Bank of England Sports Ground at Roehampton. Wimbledon's first round matches start on Monday, June 20th with the final for the men scheduled for Sunday, July 3rd.
Players hoping to enter the main draw via qualies must barge their way through three rounds of the qualifying tournament. Sixteen men will enter the main draw in this manner while only twelve women will.
