Keep the bets off of the world number two for Wimbledon as Kim Clijsters has pulled out of the tournament.
Kim Clijsters, the world number two, recently crashed out of the WTA event in Holland, suffering a straight sets loss to Romina Oprandi. At the French Open Clijsters suffered another loss to a player with a very poor ranking as Arantxa Rus knocked the Belgian out in the second round of that tournament.
There had to be something wrong with Clijsters to explain the shocking losses and it has now been revealed that a foot injury will keep her out of action at the All England Club.
In a statement, Clijsters said: "I'm very very disappointed to have to withdraw from Wimbledon after injuring my foot again at the tournament in 'S Hertogenbosch.
"At this moment I feel frustrated that it has to happen now before one of my favourite tournaments.
"I've always enjoyed being a part of the Wimbledon atmosphere but I have no other choice now but to rest, recover and to not play tennis for a few weeks."
The seedings have been adjusted with Clijsters' withdrawal.
Play at Wimbledon gets underway on Monday.
