Daniela Hantuchova hopes to avoid the growing list of seed casualties when she takes on Lourdes Dominguez Lino in the Monterrey Open tonight.

Hantuchova is seeded second and will be hoping for fairly comfortable progress to the second round after watching Jelena Jankovic stumble out of the tournament yesterday.

There have been a number of big upsets including Lucie Safarova on day one and Hantuchova will be aware that she needs to start strongly as her opponent has already won several matches in qualifying on this surface earlier in the week.
