She fell early in Madrid against Aravane Rezai though, and does not appear to be quite at her best at the moment. If she can put this behind her and hit top form this fortnight, she’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

Other big names here include Caroline Wozniacki, Elena Dementieva, Victoria Azarenka, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Flavia Pennetta. The next fortnight will be a must see for tennis fans worldwide.
