Caroline Wozniacki and Vera Zvonareva headline a strong field at the Royal Primerose TC de Bruxelles tournament which begins on May 14th.
The entry list is mouthwatering with the top two in action plus the return of Venus Williams to the tour. The American has been sidelined since January with injury but she is hoping to find her form ahead of the French Open which begins on May 22nd.
This will also be a crucial event for Francesca Schiavone as she finalises her preparations before defending her title in Paris.
There are plenty of players in the field who will be looking to take out one of the big names. Among them is Julia Goerges who enjoyed the finest week of her career in April, taking out Wozniacki and Sam Stosur on the way to a first WTA Premier title in Stuttgart.
Watch out for former world number five Anna Chakvetadze and the veteran Swiss Patty Schnyder who has scored wins over some of the biggest names on the game on his surface over her long career.
Jelena Jankovic has become the forgotten figure of the top ten but the Serb always performs strongly on clay and will be a contender this week. She's reached the French Open final in the past and came close again last year, reaching the semi-finals.
