Victoria Azarenka is up against Vera Zvonareva in the semi-finals of the Rogers Cup on Saturday night.

Zvonareva repeated her Wimbledon triumph over Kim Clijsters in Friday's quarter-finals. Once again Clijsters was leading comfortably, 6-2, 3-2 but suddenly Zvonareva went for broke and got on a roll, winning nine games in a row to take a 5-0 lead in the final set. Her revival was aided by Clijsters suffering a hip injury which hindered her movement.
Azarenka looked very assured during a 6-2, 7-6 win over Marion Bartoli. The Frenchwoman will have been very disappointed not to close out the second set tiebreak, having been up 6-2 before Azarenka reeled off six points in a row.
Zvonareva leads their head-to-head 4-2 and used to be a big nemisis for Azarenka. However that all changed at this year's Aussie Open when Azarenka came from a set and a break down to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 and when they last played in Dubai, Azarenka crushed her opponent 6-1, 6-3.
