Top seeded doubles duo Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic made their way to the French Open semifinals of the French Open with a comprehensive 6-4, 6-2 victory over Russian duo Igor Kunitsyn and Dmitry Tursunov.

The match took little over an hour to be wrapped up and the top seeds next face third seeds Lukas Dlouhy of the Czech Republic and Leander Paes of India, a combination that Nestor and Zimonjic beat in February in the Rotterdam final.

Nestor, 36, and Zimonjic, 32, have been unbeatable on clay, winning titles at Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and Madrid without too much competition.

They have won four of five clay events and today's win becomes their 20th on clay from their last 21 matches.

"We played solid, they started making loose errors and making it easy for us. The second set was pretty straightforward. We won't have a match like that for the rest of the tournament." said Nestor.

Nestor's team started slowly on a sunny day at Roland Garros, with Zimonjic going down an early break for 0-2. But the top seeds got that one back and added another for good measure to take the opening set in just over half an hour.

The top seeds picked up the pace in the second set, managing to get on top of the Russians with a break of Tursunov to love in the fifth game. Zimonjic cleaned up the victory on the first of two match point from a final Russian unforced error.
