World number seven Tomas Berdych will have revenge on his mind when he plays Grigor Dimitrov in the Hopman Cup.
The Czechs are huge favourites for the title this week with Berdych and Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova but they could find Bulgaria awkward opponents.
Dimitrov will take a lot of confidence from his only previous clash with Berdych which he won 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Rotterdam two years ago. The 20 year old has won the Wimbledon junior title in the past and many were lauding him as the next big thing in men's tennis this time last year.
However after a slightly disappointing 2011, he finished 76 in the world and was eclipsed by Bernard Tomic. He'll be looking to raise his game this year and what better way to start the season than by taking the scalp of a former Wimbledon finalist.
However Berdych has produced the best tennis of his life over the past two seasons. At his best, the Czech's monstrous serve and backhand are a match for anyone in the game and he'll fancy his chances of ruffling a few feathers at the Australian Open later this month.
Prediction: Berdych in two.
