Janko Tipsarevic was on top form on Sunday, beating defending champion Viktor Troicki in the final of the Kremlin Cup. Tipsarevic took a tight first set in the historic all-Serbian final, and then he raced away with the second set to clinch a 6-4, 6-2 victory.

"It was really tough," admitted Tipsarevic. "We were both tight. You could cut the tension with a knife. It was like a nightmare to play against your friend."

Troicki remarked, "This was the first time we had an All-Serbian final, ATP or WTA, so it was a bit strange at the beginning for both of us. Janko deserved to win, he was the better player today. We both played pretty good but he was more aggressive."

Tipsarevic has now won two ATP titles. His first was won in Kuala Lumpur three weeks ago. Speaking of his success, Tipsarevic revealed, "Kuala Lumpur was more emotional because it was my first ATP title but here I was more nervous as I was playing Viktor. It was not a surprise that we played the final, as we were the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds here."
