Key dates and where to find the prices on favorites.
 
Qualifying for the 2009 US Open will start on August 25th and is scheduled to conclude August 29th.  After that, men's and women's singles is scheduled to begin on August 31st and the final date for the tournament is September 13th, the date of the men's finals.
 
Getting your bets in now for the men's and women's favorites that you are backing is important because as the starting date for the US Open approaches, the odds on the top picks really start to shorten.

On the men's side Roger Federer is undoubtedly the best pick.  He is the 5 time defending champion and he is not showing any sign of slowing down as he took both the French Open and Wimbledon down.  His best price that our staff found is with Coral who have him at +162 (81/50), but Betfair is a more popular exchange and they still have Federer priced at +158 (79/50).
