On Centre Court the day’s play will open with sixth seed Marin Cilic against David Nalbandian, the former World number three. Nalbandian’s ranking is in the ascendency again though, and the Argentine finds himself at twenty-ninth as he continues to put an injury riddled 2009 behind him.

Richard Gasquet and Tobias Kamke will participate in the second game. Gasquet, like Nalbandian, has climbed the rankings this year following an absence from the tour. Kamke has made it through here as the lucky loser, but demonstrated his ability in round one with a shock victory over World number six Tomas Berdych.

The third game will be played between Andy Roddick and Andrey Golubev. With the ATP World Tour Finals drawing ever closer, Roddick is aiming to accumulate as many rankings points as possible. Golubev stands out as a player with serious potential, and it should be intriguing to see how well he deals with Roddick here.

The final match on Centre Court will involve No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic and Finland’s Jarrko Nieminen. Djokovic will be the favourite here, but it’s worth noting that Nieminen won his most recent match against the Serb back in 2009.

On Court 2, Radek Stepanek is up against Santiago Giraldo. The winner will face a tough match against Roger Federer in the quarter-finals. The final Court 2 game will be played between Viktor Troicki and Paul Henri Mathieu, who qualified as a lucky loser. These two players have a 1-1 head-to-head record, and both players earned their victories over each other by virtue of retirements.
