Steve Darcis will face the challenge of Malek Jaziri on Saturday in the semi-finals of the Geneva ChallengerYou can watch and bet on the ATP Geneva Challenger live for free at bet365 > live tennisSecond seed Steve Darcis struggled at times to live up to his billing as the current tournament favourite at this year’s Geneva Challenger on Friday, as he found himself having difficulties against Stephane Bohli. A first set tie-breaker proved to be crucial for the Belgian, who eventually left the court with a 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-2 success.
Darcis will continue his title challenge on Saturday with a semi-final showdown against Malek Jaziri. Jaziri ousted seventh seed Horacio Zeballos in the quarter-finals, getting the better of the Argentine in two close sets en route to a 7-6(6), 7-5 victory. The Tunisian will have his sights set on another upset in the final four.
These two competitors have never previously met on court in any form of ATP competition, so it will be intriguing to see who can manage to clinch a berth in the final. Darcis has more experience than Jaziri at the highest level, and on this basis, he seems to be a worthy favourite here.
