Sergiy Stakhovsky will be looking for a straight set victory against Maxime Teixeira when the pairing meet on Wednesday at the ATP Bratislava ChallengerYou can watch and bet on the ATP Bratislava Challenger live for free at bet365 > live tennisSecond seed Sergiy Stakhovsky is aiming to make a serious bid for this week’s Bratislava Challenger title. Whilst he has the ability to win this event, the Ukrainian was forced to dig deep for his first round success against Slovakian qualifier Kamil Capkovic. Stakhovsky’s win was not as convincing as he would have liked, but he showed enough cutting edge to see out the match in straight sets (7-6(4), 7-5).
Stakhovsky will take on Maxime Teixeira in round two. Teixeira made a terrific start to his campaign, sweeping aside the challenge of Boris Pashanski. The 22 year-old turned a few heads with his 6-1, 6-1 victory, and he’ll be hoping to take this form into Wednesday’s contest.
This will be the first ever clash between this pairing. Stakhovsky appears to be the favourite, but Teixeira’s exciting performance in round one is worth taking note of. A good start will be key for Stakhovsky here, as he’ll need to prevent the Frenchman from repeating his first round display.
