Serena Williams has joined a star-studded line-up for the 2011 Hopman Cup.

The season opening exhibition event boasts an amazing array of stars for 2011 as many of the world's top players opt to prepare for the Australian Open by acclimatising down under rather than competing in Doha or Auckland.

Serena will be competing with John Isner but they will face stern competition, in particular from Serbia who have Novak Djokovic and Ana Ivanovic.

Justine Henin returns to the tour for the first time since Wimbledon but Belgium will depend heavily on her as it's been a while since Steve Darcis was ranked in the top 50.

Gael Monfils will be there for the French and Lleyton Hewitt makes his customary appearance for Australia. The 2010 runners-up – Britain's Andy Murray and Laura Robson are also likely to team up again although this has not been officially confirmed.
