The clay court Grand Slam event is about 4 months away still.
Roland Garros 2011 will be played in Paris, France in late May/early June of 2011. The exact scheduled dates for the tournament are May 17th to June 5th.
Last year Rafael Nadal won the title again, a result that surprised no one. The women's draw in 2010 did feature a major surprise however as Francesca Schiavone won the event, the only Grand Slam title of her career. In doubles Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, players who are no longer playing together, won the men's doubles and Serena Williams and Venus Williams won the women's doubles.
There's still hard court tennis to be played on tour as Indian Wells and Miami take place in March but after that the clay court season will be near.
