Odds that were unheard of in years past are now offered on Roger Federer.

The ATP World Finals take place later this month beginning on November 22nd.

Here are the best prices as the finals shape-up in the BNP Paribas Masters:

1.  Roger Federer, +300 (3/1) Sportingbet
2.  Novak Djokovic, +350 (7/2) Sportingbet
3.  Andy Murray, +450 (9/2) Blue Square
4.  Rafael Nadal, +450 (9/2) Blue Square
5.  Juan Martin Del Potro, +800 (8/1) Sportingbet
6.  Nikolay Davydenko, +1000 (10/1) Blue Square

Seeing such long odds on Roger Federer in the future's market takes a little bit of getting used to.  It's almost as odd as seeing Jo-Wilfried Tsonga priced as the favorite against Rafael Nadal the other day in the Paris Masters quarterfinal match (Nadal 'upset' Tsonga).  However Federer's game has declined in recent months and more and more people think we might be seeing the beginning of the end of Federer's reign as king of tennis.

The best value in the odds above is to stick with the two players who are best poised to take over the number 1 spot on the men's tour.  Some think that Nadal is that player but really you have to like Andy Murray better than Nadal and you have to like Novak Djokovic better than either of them.

Heading into the ATP World Finals Djokovic is unquestionably the hottest player on tour.  He took down Basel last week and, at time of writing, he is leading Rafael Nadal in the Paris Masters semifinals by a set.

Our recommendation for the ATP World Finals at this point is to two bet the field.  Take 65% of whatever you are betting and put it on Djokovic while putting the other 35% on Andy Murray.  That will give you a very good chance of having the winner in the futures picks.

Go to Sportingbet or Blue Square to bet on ATP tennis.
