Roger Federer aims to continue his serene progress towards a sixth ATP Halle title.

Federer has been on cruise control this week, easing past Jarkko Nieminen and Alejandro Falla as well as signing a contract committing him to the Gerry Weber Open for the rest of his career.
He will need to step up a gear against Philipp Kohlschreiber who has come through a couple of tight matches to reach the last eight.
Kohlschreiber has some dangerous weapons but grass is not his best surface and he has lost all four of his matches with Federer. The Swiss defeated him 6-3, 6-2, 6-7, 6-1 at Wimbledon last year.
Federer’s form has been patchy at best since winning the Australian Open and he could do with winning a title this week. It is hard to see him not making the final and our feeling is that Kohlschreiber will have his work cut out to make this one competitive.
