Roger Federer dispatched Arnaud Clement in straight sets to set up a Wimbledon last 16 clash with Jurgen Melzer on Monday.

With all remaining Wimbledon 2010 men's players in action on Monday, defending champion Federer faces Jurgen Melzer for the first time in his career.

Melzer, having reaching the semi-finals at Roland Garros, looks in the form of his life coming into his first ever clash with Federer.

“I'm a good tennis player. It was just a few links here and there were missing... It had to click, and then I started to believe in myself. I started to actually believe I can win those big matches.” said Melzer after his recent improvement in form.

Federer will be unsure of what to expect from Melzer, “I've practiced with him, chat with him every day in the locker rooms, but he's one of the guys I've never faced,” Federer said.

Whilst Melzer has been playing the best form of his career, Federer has wobbled in the opening week of Wimbledon. Fighting back from the brink in his opening match, the top seed will be hoping for fewer nervous moments when he faces Melzer.
