Roger Federer stands on the verge of tennis history, just one title away from a record 15, and Federer has admitted that breaking tennis records gives him an unrivalled boost on the tennis courts.

Federer said: "I like to hear people talking about whether I'm the greatest of all time."

"I feel the same way I felt when I equalled Bjorn Borg's record of five men's titles here. That felt like the world to me. For two weeks I felt like I was in a protective bubble."

"It means I'm doing something right. It's nice to talk about what I've done because it gives me an incentive to do even better." Federer continued.

"But let me finish my career and then we'll assess what's happened."
