Roger Federer is odds on at 4/6 to break Pete Sampras's all-time record of Grand Slams before the end of the year, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes.
Federer equalled Sampras's 14 Major wins by taking the French Open and has been cut to 11/10 (from 5/4) to make it an unprecedented Slam title at Wimbledon this Summer.
"With doubts over Nadal's fitness there's a feeling of inevitability that Federer will make further history on Centre Court in a few weeks." David Williams of Ladbrokes said.
"With the French Open monkey off his back, Federer is nailed on to break the record. Even if he misses out in Wimbledon he's still got the US Open at his mercy this year. We'd be surprised if he fails to bag at least one of the two." Williams continued.
Rafael Nadal is out to 5/2 to defend his Wimbledon crown whilst Andy Murray is the 3/1 third favourite.
