Roger Federer’s coach Paul Annacone says that the Swiss can easily win twenty Grand Slam titles.

Federer is currently the Grand Slam record holder with 16 major crowns to his name and many have wondered what continues to motivate the Swiss, having won everything there is in the game. The answer is simply that Federer loves winning and as long as he continues to pick up titles around the world he will keep playing and Annacone sees no reason why he cannot take his slam tally to 20 and beyond.

“He can win every tournament he plays," Annacone said. "He's probably not going to, but he can win every match he plays and there's not a lot of guys you can say that about. IIf he can stay healthy and happy and eager I don't know what the end number would be, but is 20 realistic, sure, why not ?"

The quietly spoken American has a distinguished coaching record as a former mentor to both Pete Sampras and Tim Henman and he has overseen a transformation in Federer over the past five months.

The Swiss appears to be enjoying a new lease of life, winning four tournaments since the US Open, including the ATP World Finals where he defeated Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

Annacone says that his influence has been simply a matter of fine-tuning. “It's about combining the head, heart and talent components of a player, and understanding how they interact, the best way to match up against other players, and ultimately, the best way for them to keep having fun doing it, and the best way to try to get better," he explained.
