Roger Federer showed his admiration for John Isner's massive serve at the BNP Paribas Open.

Isner is sure to have an extra bounce in his step over the coming days after Federer stated on Sunday that he would not mind swopping his serve for the American's.

Federer's serve is one of the finest in history and has helped him pull through so many big matches on his march to sixteen Grand Slam titles but when asked if he would swop any part of his game for an opponent's shot, Federer admitted he would not mind a bit of extra power on his serve.

“A good serve is a good start,” Federer said after reaching the third round of Indian Wells. “Then you pick the obvious suspect. The ones who are hitting aces and unreturnable serves and can clutch serve all day. One of those big guys, like John [Isner] or [Ivo] Karlovic or [Andy] Roddick and so forth.  Guys who have proven themselves over a long period of time, of course, and also have variety.”

Standing at 6'9, Isner not only reaches the high 130s on a regular basis with his serve but he possesses one of the most brutal kick serves in the game, making opponents have to try and make returns from above head height. His ability to strike those kind of deliveries on both first and second serves makes his serve one of the hardest to break on tour.
