The Spaniard was in incredible form during this year’s Golden Swing, and shouldn’t be written off under any circumstances.
Soderling currently holds a 4-3 head to head lead against Almagro, but this doesn’t necessarily make him the favourite. Almagro has won 3 of his 4 matches against Soderling on clay, and it seems like the world No. 10 is arguably the likelier of the pairing to earn a berth in the next round here.
