Not since May 2005 has Nadal been ranked so low.

With Rafael Nadal's failure to defend his Australian Open title he lost a lot of tour ranking points.

As a result, Nadal's ranking has dipped down to 4th on tour, the worst ranking Nadal has had since the May 23rd, 2005 rankings when he was ranked 5th in the world.  Both Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray were able to pass the Spaniard this past Monday.

Nadal is struggling with injury and even though the clay court season is quickly approaching, you can't feel too confident in the Spaniard right now.

Paddy Power have Nadal at -110 (10/11) to win the French Open, but Roger Federer appears to be a much smarter pick with Ladbrokes at +250 (5/2).
