Rafael Nadal, the defending champion at Wimbledon, and Juan Martin Del Potro, the 2009 US Open champion, are set to collide in what looks to be a fantastic match at the All England Club on Monday. It will be the third time that the two players meet in Grand Slam competition as Nadal defeated Del Potro at Roland Garros in 2007 while Delpo eliminated Rafa from the 2009 US Open draw.
Nadal is the player who has been more efficient at Wimbledon so far this year as he has reached the final sixteen without dropping a set so far. More broadly the world number one has an unbeaten streak at the All England Club that now extends over 17 matches.
Del Potro is appearing in the fourth round for the first time in four visits to Wimbledon as he looks to become the third Argentine player, following Guillermo Vilas and David Nalbandian, to make the quarterfinals at the All England Club.
Head to head Nadal is 5-3 against Del Potro with the Argentine winning three of their last four. Del Potro has not beaten Rafa since returning from injury however and that could be the biggest hint as to who will win this match.
This will be the last match of the day scheduled on Centre Court for Monday:
First: Andy Murray vs Gasquet (13:00 London time)
Next: Venus Williams vs Tsvetana Pironkova
Next: Rafael Nadal vs Juan Martin Del Potro
