Rafael Nadal has looked unstoppable in Rome and faces Stanislas Wawrinka in today’s quarter-finals.

Nadal has yet to drop a set on clay this season and is the odds on favourite by a long way to win this title and the French Open next month.
This was supposed to be the big re-match, Nadal against Robin Soderling, a repeat of their epic French Open clash last year but Wawrinka did not read the script and crushed the Swede 6-3, 6-2 in yesterday’s third round.
The Swiss is playing some great tennis right now having also taken out Tomas Berdych earlier in the week. Having made the final here two years ago, playing at the Foro Italico seems to bring out the best in him.
However he will need to find something special to even take a set off Nadal this afternoon, something he has yet to do. Nadal has won all four of their previous matches.
Wawrinka should provide Nadal with his hardest match of the tournament to date. The Swiss is a sublime shot-maker from the back of the court and relishes the clay but unfortunately for him right now, as the tests get tougher, Nadal just seems to get better.
