Rafael Nadal will be wary of dangerous German Philipp Kohlschreiber in the third round.

Nadal had a clinical 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 win over the unknown Slovak Lukas Lacko and will be confident of his chances against the free-hitting Kohlschreiber who he has beaten five times.

Three of those matches have been straight sets drubbings on clay but on hard, Kohlschreiber has always made a match of it. He served notice he was a player to look out for back in 2007 when he took Nadal to four sets and a year later he pushed the Spaniard fairly close in a 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 loss in Dubai.

Kohlschreiber likes to go for his shots from the back of the court and has an impressive single-handed backhand. He dumped Andy Roddick out of the Australian Open at this stage two years ago in a five set thriller.
