Rafael Nadal lost his opening set against Andy Murray in Friday’s semi-finals, but demonstrated why he’s such a dominant force in world tennis by forcing his way back into the match to claim a 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 victory. The two-time Wimbledon champion will now aim to defend his title when he faces Novak Djokovic in Sunday’s final.

Djokovic has enjoyed a terrific start to 2011, and to date has only lost one match. This incredible match record includes four wins against Nadal, two of which were on the Spaniard’s favoured clay courts. The Serb showed great resilience on Friday to grind out a four set victory over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semi-finals, and will take the place of Nadal at the top of the world rankings regardless of how Sunday’s contest pans out.

Nadal enters this match with a 16-11 head to head record against Djokovic, and to add to this won both of the previous grass court matches between the pairing. That said, Djokovic’s form against the soon to be former world No. 1 has been superb of late, and it looks like this final could go either way.
