Rafael Nadal goes for his third Indian Wells title tonight at the BNP Paribas Open against Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic hit the headlines on 'Super Saturday', regaining the world number two spot with a three set win over a determined Roger Federer. It was an intense clash but Djokovic held firm on the big points to reel off the final four games for a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win.
Nadal recovered from a poor start, falling 4-1 down early on against Juan Martin Del Potro before hitting back strongly to win 6-4, 6-4. The Spaniard has rarely produced his best tennis over the past week but he's taken advantage of a fairly kind draw to reach another Masters Series final.
Nadal leads the all-time list for Masters Series titles with 18 and he's bidding to claim his first since Madrid last spring.
Djokovic has had the edge over Nadal on hard courts in the past, leading their head-to-head 7-5. He demolished him 6-3, 6-2 in the Indian Wells semi-finals three years ago on the way to the title. However he has never beaten Nadal in a tour final. The world number one has won all five of those matches, including most recently last year's US Open final.
Prediction: Djokovic is playing the better tennis at the moment and the confidence he has in his game pulled him through many tight moments against Federer on Saturday. Look for him to take this in straight sets.
